CROATIA: WORLD MONUMENTS FUND AND FOOD FESTIVAL

It seems like the last few updates featured news about Croatia. We can’t help it!

World Monuments Fund

On September 27th the World Monument Fund, the foremost private, nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of endangered architectural and cultural sites, was host to a spectacular exhibition showcasing World Heritage sites in Croatia captured by renown Croatian photographers. 24fps Productions lend its in hand in support of the event.

The WMF Gallery, located in New York City was truly the ideal venue for this premier event, which featured Croatian wine, food and a special visit from the President of Croatia, Stjepan Mesic.

Croatian Food Festival

This year from October 8th-11th, the Croatian Food Festival presented a diverse array of Croatian flavors at the United Nation’s Delegate’s Dining Room.  The menu was absolutely exquisite, with a team of renowned Croatian chefs exuding true culinary excellence offering up samplings of award-winning olive oil, great seafood, tender meat dishes, unique Strukli and Pastlcada, rich Croatian chocolate and much more.

A truly unique feature of the event was the venue. The Delegates Dining Room is set-up within the kitchen of the United Nations – a food lovers dream. If you live in New York City, I’d highly recommend this dining experience, whose theme changes all the time.

MUSIC VIDEOS AT 24FPS PRODUCTIONS

A popular trend with music videos shot in HDCAM is to dub the HDCAM tapes directly to digital DVCPRO-HD files. These smaller HD files are easier to edit on regular edit systems.

Over the past few months, we’ve processed over 15 music videos this way, and have since added a new dubbing package to our HD Edit Facility offerings, the HDCAM to DVCPRO-HD digital file transfer package. Just bring in your HDCAM master tapes, and FireWire hard drive, and we'll convert the tapes to DVCPRO-HD files, ready for your edit system!

We can also edit, conform, and finish programs at multiple uncompressed HDTV formats, including 720p, 720/60p HD, 1080PsF and 1080i as well as PAL and NTSC standard-definition formats at 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97 and 30 fps.
